As time passes living and gardening adventures change. Not wanting to move far from central Nelson, a site is found in front of the old family villa. The new sidles up to the road and then steps back to let the arriving neighbours breathe. Several approvals later a modernist front shapes to shield the road and frame the park. Life recesses, there’s light and green. Noise is layered off and living galleries with washed timber to collate the colours of the park. The painting is hung and a new homing begins. There’s less House and Garden now, more House and Park.
